Stories inspired by my daughter
If you arrived here after reading the Raven and the Mango Roadtrip, I hope you enjoyed the series. I started it trying to write a detective-type story set in Mexico with characters based on my daughter and me. I wrote it by the seat of my pants, and it veered off in an unexpected direction. One of my projects right now is figuring out how to turn it into a novel.
In the meantime, if you liked reading about Raven, here are some other stories inspired by the girl I consider the world’s best kid.
One more thing…
If you made it this far, I’m guessing you enjoy my writing. Twelve of my best pieces of flash fiction are collected into a digital chapbook called Noon in Florida. It’s only 99 cents to buy it on Kindle or free if you are in Kindle Unlimited. Here’s one review from Amazon:

Exquisite, moving moments in time, each story speaks volumes of the human condition. Humor, despair, hope, longing. I am amazed at how such powerful stories can be so precise, so complete in short form. And the writing is beautiful and layered, rich in its sparseness. I would highly recommend losing yourself in these brief, textured snapshots of life.–C. Cacciatore
